Call of Cthulhu Monograph by Chaosium

St. Bartholomew's Abbey and Other Excerpts for Cthulhu Dark Ages

Saint Bartholomew's Abbey is an autonomous Benedictine monastery situated along the Lot river, nestled below the Cévennes mountains within the Massif Central region of southeastern France. The year is 962 A.D., and this monastery is presented as an excellent place to begin your Cthulhu Dark Ages campaign. A second section of this monograph provides an overview of tenth-century France, intended to provide a backdrop against which to begin play. The third section presents the Order of St. Jerome. Within its ranks characters can find allies and invaluable support in their fight against darkness.

Evil Cults for Call of Cthulhu

This book contains a collection of modern-day organisations for use in your Call of Cthulhu games. The Church of a Thousand Tomorrows can nuke you from orbit, while the Sufferers’ Guild could be brought down with a few well-placed phone calls. More importantly, all the personalities described have reasons for the things they do. Some of the characters want revenge, some are just looking for a good time, many are doing what they believe is right.

Three Cthulhu Dark Ages Convention Adventures

This monograph constitutes Chaosium's first GenCon tournament for Cthulhu Dark Ages. The staffers chose the Latin name, which translates to "the approaching darkness". It also makes for a nifty acronym that fits in well with the Lovecraft Mythos.

The first scenario, Island of the Damned takes tough-as-nails Viking characters completely out of their element. Vikings were the scourge of the Dark Ages and here, predator becomes prey.

The second scenario, Risam Vellere concerns early attempts at translating one of the forbidden tomes of the Mythos.

The third scenario, The Innocent is the more human story of a victim of the Mythos who holds no culpability in his fate nor escape from his destiny.

A feature of this monograph are the prepared handouts, and the pre-generated Dasrk Ages investigators. This is a great way to give Cthulhu Dark Ages a try.

Modern-Day Non-Player Characters

This is a collection of 120 Modern Era NPCs for overworked Keepers to use in their games and campaigns. These NPCs are ones typically found in society and can provide useful information, assistance, or adventuring opportunities for Investigators. All are complete with Statistics, skills, a physical description, and a brief, but highly individualized background that can be placed into any Modern Day setting. The collection is organized by 15 Occupation types, each with eight NPCs.

Keepers can place these NPCs in pivotal roles in a scenario; they may be used to provide a specific service to a group of Investigators (medical treatment, fabricating an item, research, etc), be given out to individual investigators as personal contacts and act as the basis for a scenario as a information-seeking Patron for the Investigators or simply being a witness of Mythos activity or a relative of a victim seeking help from the Investigators. They can also act as plot drivers when Investigators naturally stray from the prescribed course of action.

If an investigator is seeking a speaker of some uncommon language, several of the collected NPCs have unlisted language skills; Keepers may feel free to plug in any desired language required for the occasion. Keepers are welcome to modify the NPC in any given way; name, nationality, languages spoken, weapons on hand etc, to better suit their campaign’s need.

Five Tales for a Not-So-Silent Night

Some time ago we asked you to submit adventures concerning the holiday season. This monograph contains five tales certain to scare the stockings off the mantle.

Silent Night

Set in Arkham in December of 2001, this tale involves four investigators gathered to celebrate the season, the mythos far away for the moment.

The Gaudy

The investigators are invited to Porterhouse College for a Christmas lecture series, and attendance at a great holiday feast called The Gaudy.

Christmas in Venice

Sometimes the merest glimpse of horror is enough to trigger dire events which make your trip to Venice a nightmare to forget.

Christmas in Kingsport

Snow falls over the seaport town, its winding streets covered with ribbons of white. Smoke rises from the chimneys with the smells of chestnuts, cookies, and roast goose filling the air. Once again the family is together again at the home of Great Aunt Norma.

A White Winter

The period following World War I finds a world in change; an exciting time to be alive. Revolutions sweep the collapsing empires of eastern Europe. This tale is set in 1919 in Siberia during the Russian civil war.

Horror Roleplaying in Ancient Rome

Roman children tremble in their beds as their mothers tell them the stories of Zeus, the hundred-handed ones and the War of the Titans. The mothers believe the stories will make the children behave. The children believe the stories and pray that the Fates have woven a long skein for them, free from encounters with the Minotaur and Cerberus. Little do they know that there are much more horrible things in the world than the creatures of myth and legend. A dark god skulks through the streets of Rome stealing the souls of the rich and the poor, the young and the old, to populate his empire on the other side of the wall of sleep.

Thousands of miles away, on the coast of a freshly invaded island, Roman centurions huddle around campfires hoping their fortifications keep the barbarians at bay while they entertain themselves with dice and ghost stories. As a chill wind blows through the camp, they laugh and clap each on the back and return to their tents, secretly hoping it was only a breeze. The barbarians are the least of their concerns. Small shapes scuttle outside the ramparts looking for new hosts.

In the midst of the largest sea the world knows, an Egyptian merchant anxiously scans the horizon looking for the first sign of landfall - and safety. He knows pirates prowl the sea, avoiding the Roman navy and preying on merchant vessels. His men are armed and should be able to fend off any pirates, but he hopes it doesn’t come to that. When the coast is in sight, he’ll be able to relax. His men are ill prepared for the forms swirling under the waves, slowly reaching their claws up to pull the boat down. Greek scholars in Athens are ecstatic when they uncover scrolls relating to an African god from the deepest interior of that Dark Continent. They’re eager to read all they can in the name cause of science. All their education has not prepared them for the fact that the god is already in Athens, and they fail to notice that Athens has not changed for hundreds of years.

Young women scurry through the streets of Herculaneum to the Temple of Vesta, shaking off the advances of lecherous old men and soldiers who’ve returned from the front looking for a place to spend their coin. Only these women know that their chastity protects the world from an unspeakable horror. Should they fail in their mission, all of Rome is doomed to fall under the depraved god’s whim.

Sweat and grime cover the young Persian woman as she pulls her sword out of yet another monster that’s risen out of the sand. As she glances around, several more unbury themselves and charge toward her. She casts one last look over her shoulder to make sure the families that were ambushed escaped before raising her sword and charging the monsters, a fierce battle cry echoing over the dunes.

This is the world of Cthulhu Invictus, horror role playing in the time of the Roman Empire.

Three Adventures From Gentler Times

The CTHULHU MASTERS TOURNAMENT 2005 contains three scenarios presented during this year's GenCon.

LORD AND BEAST: set in early WWII (June 1942) in the South Pacific, and interpreting the setting of William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, beginning when the adult rescuers arrive to save British boys stranded by a plane crash on a desert isle.

ELECTRIC BUCKEYES: based upon the story of the Ohio State Prison Fire of 1930. A few factors make this an interesting and challenging event on which to base a CMT round. There is some mystery surrounding the actual cause of the fire. The Ohio State Penitentiary has a dark and mysterious history. The controlled environment of a prison allows for very good roleplaying opportunities.

HOBO QUEST: the characters journey across the U.S. as hoboes riding the rails. They are driven to commit desperate and horrible acts to satisfy inner demons. They learn terrible truths as the adventure progresses.

Cthulhu Rising *Monograph*
Call of Cthulhu Monograph by Chaosium

It is the year 2271.

The future is a dark and dangerous place. Outer space is the new frontier — humanity exploits the galaxy for its own ends. It is more than a hundred and fifty years since the United Earth Federation began to colonise the solar system and beyond.

Millions of colonists — employees of either the Federation or one of the many megacorporations — live out their lives on worlds light years from Earth. Corporate-funded exploration craft push ever-deeper into space. It is only a matter of time before one of these craft stumbles upon some remote, alien edifice, a cosmic mausoleum of the Great Old Ones. But who is to say this has not already occurred?

Players take the roles of the investigators of the future. These enlightened and oft-unlucky individuals know something of the true nature of the universe. Be they fools or heroes, they take the fight against the Great Old Ones to the stars themselves.

This monograph is comprised of two parts:

Part one provides an overview of human society in the late 23rd Century, enabling Keepers to create a backdrop against which to set a campaign almost 300 years into our future. It is by no means exhaustive. Keepers can use it as a starting point for their own campaigns, or use the campaign scenarios available from the Cthulhu Rising website at www.cthulhurising.co.uk

Part two provides supplemental rules for generating 23rd Century Investigators, as well as information on the equipment and weapons that will aid them in combating dark cults.

Call of Cthulhu Monograph by Chaosium

"This is the very worst wickedness, that we refuse to acknowledge the passionate evil that is in us. This makes us secret and rotten." - D. H. Lawrence

CALL OF CTHULHU pits a dedicated group of investigators (controlled by the players) against a whole host of ills and evils. Sometimes the investigators are simply clearing up a localised problem where something has gone awry. Other times the investigators are battling tooth-and-nail against a global cabal, intent on plunging the world into darkness. Either way, it is the investigator who struggles against utter peril.

But what if the investigator, rather than being a fearless paragon of order and humanity, was instead the bringer of night, a cultist who struggles towards the darkness and rages against the light? In DARK MIRROR this is the sinister reality. Rather than trying to stop the great Cthulhu and his ilk from destroying the world, you want to help out. Rather than halt the slide into madness, you want a front row seat. In the dark mirror you are Dorian Gray's reflection. You are the devoted residents of Innsmouth, the worshippers at the foot of Nyarlathotep, the devotees of Joseph Curwen, and the disciples of Cthulhu!

Fellowship of the Witching Hour *Monograph*
Call of Cthulhu Monograph by Chaosium

Small Ad posted in the Miskatonic University Newsletter, October 1941:

WANTED: fellows of a like mind to form an extracurricular club investigating the compelling subject of the strange and the unexplained. Will meet on Tuesdays and every other Friday, after lectures. Members must be prepared to consider the darker side of the human psyche and the bleaker aspects of modern society. Members must also be prepared to take turns paying for drinks. Bring sturdy shoes in case of nocturnal sojourns! First meeting at the Witching Hour bar, corner of Garrison and Main, 9PM Friday, 1st November.

Fellowship of the Witching Hour is a scenario for 3 to 6 investigators. The game begins in a student bar called The Witching Hour. Investigators may come across this bar during their time in Arkham, or they may merely have heard of its existence. It is not necessary that they be patrons of the bar or know of its location prior to the start of the scenario.

The investigators come into contact with Miss Sally Fisher during a research session at the Arkham university library. As assistant librarian, she is often present in the building, indexing books, sorting catalogues or stamping tickets. She will be noticed, particularly by male members of the group, for her striking appearance, but she is also very knowledgeable in her chosen field - mythos and the occult - so the group and their unusual research subjects are almost certain to catch her eye as well.

Sally Fisher has recently joined a new extra curricular discussion group called the Fellowship of the Witching Hour, named in honour of the bar in which the group meet every Friday night. After its first meeting, the club suffered numerous drop-outs (not least because of its unusual founding member) and Sally, eager to keep the club going, will ask the PCs if they would like to attend the next meeting.

She will invite them to The Witching Hour, a bar on the corner of Main and Garrison, at 9pm the following Friday (November 15th). They will be asked to keep the appointment secret and bring only their 'enthusiasm for the subjects of mystery and the occult'.

Items, Spells, and Creatures for Call of Cthulhu

This work provides a variety of creatures, technological items and spells for the Call of Cthulhu role playing game. The work follows the conventions presented in the rulebook in regards to creature statistics.

While most of the creatures presented are associated with the Mythos, many are not. The new Mythos creatures provide the Keeper with an opportunity to provide experiences players with some new surprises. The non-Mythos creatures enable the Keeper to provide the investigators with horrific foes that fall outside of the range of their knowledge about the Mythos, thus adding even more variety to the game.

A few technological items have been presented that are associated with some of the new creatures presented within these pages. Naturally, the items are not the sorts of things that one would find in the local mall.

Many new spells are included and all are relevant to the new creatures presented here. While many of the spells deal with summoning and binding, there are also spells for actually creating some of the new horrors. As usual, these spells will be employed mostly by the investigators’ foes.

A Garden Party & The Running of the Great Race

You know Julian Gatsby. He recently inherited the family home following the sad demise of his father. Julian is a free-spirited young man, in his mid-20s, and a new fan of the horse races. You arrive for a fabulous garden party and are shown to your room. Other guests arrive shortly after. In a few hours you will gather in the garden for an enjoyable afternoon of food, drink, stimulating conversation, and the radio broadcast of the Great Race.

This scenario has the capacity for up to 32 people to be involved, playing in several overlapping games. On the surface this scenario is in the traditional Call of Cthulhu mold, based at a country house in the late 1920s. It can be run as a single game with one keeper and up to six players, in the usual manner, but what sets it apart is that it is designed to be run as two or more parallel games. To date it has been run successfully with four simultaneous games, using a total of seven keepers and twenty-four players. Whichever option you go for, the basic game concept remains the same: Julian Gatsby has meddled in matters that he should not have, leaving the players and himself to experience strange and mysterious events -- until the players find a solution.

Three Halloween Adventures

Chaosium periodically hosts contests on our web site. The adventures presented here were chosen from among the best submissions for this year's Halloween Adventure contest.

Eyes That Should Not See

BY JIM LYNCH. The Trepanation Proponents of America (TPA) is a small organization, run by its founder – John Croft. Croft is an intelligent, calm man who will put forth evidence that trepanation leads to the expansion of consciousness and inner clarity.

Halloween in Dunwich

BY OSCAR RIOS. Dunwich is beautiful this time of year, with the leaves turning shades of orange and gold. You’re family left their automobile in Dunwich village and were being driven by horse and wagon up to Great Grandpa Silas’s farm. The trip was like going back in time; to a simpler age. It’s a warm day for late October, without a cloud in the sky. Today was going to be a wonderful day.

Terror at Erne Rock

BY R.J. CHRISTENSEN. The investigators find themselves aboard the private yacht of J. Kramer Worthington III, heir to a New York City publishing company, for a private Halloween party to Halifax, Nova Scotia for fun, frivolity, hot jazz, and of course, illegal whiskey. Having made the acquaintance of young Mr. Worthington (from school or perhaps being covered in a previous adventure), the investigators believe themselves in for a few days of glorious rest & relaxation. The luxurious yacht "Globetrotter" has an additional 20 other passengers besides the investigators, 6 musicians, and 19 crewmen. The yacht leaves New York City on October 29, and that night and following day are filled with continuous joyous Jazz Age partying with free-flowing liquor and festive foods.

Eight Horrors for One Special Night

This monograph is the result of Chaosium's 2006 Halloween Adventure Contest. What follows are eight tales of Halloween Horror spanning time and space, from medieval Europe to modern day Arkham. For more Halloween adventures you may consult Halloween Horrors Volume 1, printed in 2005. We hope you enjoy these Samhain offerings.

Of Angels and Bones

A 1920s ADVENTURE BY BRANDON HANLAN. "Of Angels And Bones" revolves around the happenings of a small town in Oklahoma in the 1920s. A local man discovers a strange whistle and learns its secret at the cost of his own sanity and the lives of his friends.

The Devil's Agents

A 1920s ADVENTURE BY SHAWN PROCTOR. “The Devil’s Agents” is intended either as a breath-of-fresh-air scenario—for players who have seen one cultist too many and begun to feel simply investigating evil repeatedly has gotten stale—or a tournament-style adventure. This is an unusual premise, one where the players’ characters will be cultists themselves.

Haunted Molesbury

A MODERN DAY ADVENTURE BY BRIAN HENSLEY. RAF Molesbury is but a shell of its former glory. Originally a fighter base during WWII it was given over to the American Air Force during the Cold War to station long range photo reconnaissance aircraft. As the Soviet Union fell, the necessity of the base diminished and cut-backs have closed the aircraft wings at the base.

Way Down. In Ioway.

A 1920s ADVENTURE BY X.D. ENESS. Set in rural Iowa in the 1920s this adventure incorporates atypical Cthulhu Mythos elements. The adventure has wide application for an experienced group of players who may mistake the adventure’s conventions as an indication that they’ve “been down this road before.” It will instead provide a few refreshing surprises for even the most jaded player.

The Smokestack Horror

A HIGH SCHOOL ADVENTURE BY JOHN KENNEDY. High school can be rough, and even rougher if no one cares about you. There are those who are picked on everyday, and those who start fights in the cafeteria. And then there are the few who no one remember at all, the ones who sat in the middle of the classroom and who the teacher rarely called on. When one of them goes missing, few notice or care.

Halloween Candy

A MODERN DAY SCENARIO BY OSCAR RIOS & WALTER ATTRIDGE. Today starts normally enough for three agents of the newly formed Department of Homeland Security Agency. It is late October; Halloween to be exact, but there’ll be little fun and games for the trio. On route to a national conference, where some of the most knowledgeable people in the country would be holding seminars on everything from foreign cultures, terrorist funding and the latest in non-lethal submission techniques, the phone rings.

Michael P. Jackson, the assistant secretary of the DHS (Department of Homeland Security), who identifies himself with a confirmation code. “Gentlemen, it seems you won’t be going to your conference after all. A situation has arisen and as of now you are all being assigned to an operation that is vital to national security. You are to immediately proceed to the GPS coordinates I am sending you; there you’ll meet two operatives. You are assigned to them until further notice; assist them in any way possible. They have full authority concerning this operation. This operation is classified and I cannot stress that strongly enough. The team leader will brief you all as soon as you arrive at the rendezvous point. Good luck gentlemen, make DHS proud.”

Enter The Gaijin

A SECRETS OF JAPAN SCENARIO BY SIMON YEE. It is Halloween night and instead of waiting at your door for local kids to do trick or treat the you end up working the holiday on an emergency call. You are summoned to the Arkham Hospital morgue to help in the investigation of the ‘Trick or Treat’ home invasion and bank robbery case. Earlier in the day, three of the gang members were killed after fleeing the scene of a recent bank hold up at the new Arkham Centurion Bank. Investigators will know that nine homes and two banks have been robbed at gun point this past month by this gang and that four of the families from the nine homes were brutally murdered.

A Ring of Toadstools

A CTHULHU DARK AGES SCENARIO BY OSCAR RIOS. This scenario can take place almost anywhere in England, Scotland or Ireland, sometime around 960 AD during All Hallow’s Eve (also known as Oiche Samhain or Samhain Night). While the folklore and traditions do vary between these countries they are similar enough that the theme of the scenario are still appropriate. Keepers can set the scenario anywhere they wish although it may require some alteration. For our purposes the scenario takes place in the fictitious town of Sogailraugh.

Tales of Halloween Horror

Here are six adventures-— winners of the 3rd Annual Chaosium.com Halloween Adventure Contest.

Hope

BY BOB BRINKMAN. Set in 1924 Arkham, MA this adventure is meant as a one shot departure from the normal Call of Cthulhu game, for this time, the players are the cultists.

The Return of The Headless Horseman

By DAVID M. FETTER. It is the year of 1914 in early October. There have been two murders recently in the growing area of Sleepy Hollow, a glen of Tarry Town, New York. These murders are big news in the media because rumors tell about how the heads of the victims have been severed. Residents of Sleepy Hollow and surrounding areas are quickly correlating these recent events with the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a tale that took place around a similar time of the year in 1790, over a century ago.

Halloween at St. Odilo's

BY JASON WILLIAMS. The local church committee has decided to attract wealthy donors from Arkham and Boston by having the Abbey participate in the annual Arkham harvest festival. This festival traditionally carries on for a one week period at the end of October and ends on Halloween with events for the local children such as costume contests, bobbing for apples and storytelling sessions.

Masks of Halloween

BY OSCAR RIOS. The town of Willowton is trying its hand at creating a new tradition for Halloween. Advertisements for 'The First Annual Willowton Halloween Festival' have been placed in many area newspapers. Held at Old Man Johnson’s Farm thre will be apple picking, hayrides, a cornrow maze and a Halloween parade ending in a costume party. Cash prizes are being offered for the best costume, as well as for anyone who can “beat” the cornrow maze. It seems like the perfect escape, especially since Halloween falls on a Sunday night this year (1926).

Shadows of War Past

Written & illustrated by R.J. Christensen. The Investigators are part of a group that is camping in Tennessee’s Skymont Battlefield Park, a historic Civil War battle site on Halloween weekend. Where once an elegant and prosperous plantation once stood; forest, fields, and rehabilitated buildings now mark the site of what began as a simple skirmish that turned into a reputed massacre of soldiers and civilians alike. What the weekend visitors do not know is that the cause of the massacre may just spell a horrific end for them as well.

The Mask of Neil Marlow's Pet

BY SIMON YEE. For Halloween, Neil Marlow bought a mask for his pug dog, Moochie, from a thrift bazaar held at St. Michael’s Church. Unknown to Neil, and anyone at the bazaar, was the unique nature of the mask.

The future of the Arkham Congregationalist Seminary appears uncertain. Two groups seek to define its fate. One, led by the president and founder of the school, councils that the school should hew closely to its intended purpose: to teach young men how to spread the word of God and the reading of His Book in the Congregationalist fashion. The opposition, led by a brilliant young English doctor, argues the school must expand its mission to survive. Underlying this conflict is another, much deeper issue regarding the very nature of scholarship, and the fissure between Faith and Reason.

This adventures is drawn from the Cthulhu Master’s Tournament. "The Last Trial" is a standalone adventure. Unique in its setting, "The Last Trial" includes six fully developed characters, new monsters and magic, surprising and unsettling plot twists and a horrific finale.

The Stone of Concordance

In this scenario, set in Europe in 1928, the investigators travel between England and Crete, receiving a newspaper article along with a small note from their honoured friend William Tanislow. William, an English curator, has been recently commissioned to work alongside the famous biologist Dr. Harold Bantry. The photograph accompanying the article is dated late April 1928 and is of William smartly dressed and smiling. He is shaking hands with a portly gentleman who sports a finely shaped moustache. A striking feature of the photograph is a beautifully shaped necklace, the Stone of Concordance, hanging around Williams’s companion’s neck. The gentleman is the friendly British Foreign Minister Wilfred Forbes. After recently pushing the British government hard for William to receive the commission of working alongside Dr Bantry, the photograph of the pair shows his gratification at the outcome. Unknown to him and his only daughter Valerie, at the time of the photograph he is but ten days away from a most gruesome death.

In Which the Investigators Face an Ancient Extraterrestrial Threat as a New Comet Appears in the Sky

Currently on display in the museum is a set of rocks found at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. These geologically unique stones are believed to be of lunar origin, ejected from the moon by the impact of a meteorite. The rocks have been on display in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. until recently, but they are now part of a traveling exhibit touring the country. They are on the final leg of the tour, with San Diego as the last stop before being returned to the Smithsonian, and will remain in the city for the next two weeks.

A new comet nears the inner solar system for the first time in recorded history. Comet Negretto, discovered by and named after Italian astronomer Sylvio Negretto, is moving increasingly closer to our planet as it follows its elongated path around the sun, growing more prominent in the skies as it approaches. Because of its current location in the heavens, it appears only at night—and, because of its distance, only on clear evenings. As it nears and crosses Earth’s orbit our planet will pass through the comet’s tail, just as it did with Halley’s Comet earlier in the century. Astronomers and other scientists assure the public that no harm will be done, as the gasses are so diverse that no one would ever know of the event if the public hadn’t been alerted ahead of time.

How are these circumstances related, and what have they to do with our intrepid investigators?

Call of Cthulhu Monograph by Chaosium

History, Legends, and Background for Adventuring in 1920s Hungary

This monograph is has been roughly translated into English from Hungarian.

An understanding of the thousand-year history of Hungary is vital for a good background. During the centuries, four nations have tried to rule the area now known as Hungary. German-Roman emperors brought the Hungarian crown into their treasury. In the eleventh century their attacks stopped, due to huge casualties. In 1241 the Tartars came and burned the land, after they crushed the Royal knights near Muhi. They too were eventually defeated. The Turks, and then the Austrian Habsburg family, came to dominate the country in the sixteenth century.

Finally a new state was formed by mutual accord. It would not stand long, for the Great War began in 1914.

MYSTERIES OF HUNGARY is a new monograph describing the land, the history, and the people of Hungary. Chapters include History and Legends, Economy and Standard of Living, Budapest, Lake Balaton and Region, Adventuring in Hungary, Mythos in Hungary, Professor of Nygotha, and Hungary in Other Eras. This work was written by László Dózsa, resident of the region.

Call of Cthulhu Monograph by Chaosium

Horror Roleplaying in an Ancient Kingdom

This book is designed to provide keepers with a civil, geographical, cultural, political, and a Mythos tour of Morocco during the 1920s and 1930s. The majority of the material in this book is factual, though there are numerous portions that have been elaborated upon for use with Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game.

The best way to use this book is as a reference for scenarios or campaigns set in North Africa. This book covers several locations in Morocco, including Rabat, Casablanca, the Rif and Atlas mountain regions, and the Sahara. Also included in this book is a scenario that takes investigators across Morocco and into the cities and rural regions. Because Morocco was under re-construction during the 1920s, some of the areas are left for the keeper to dev
