Tomorrow is the new all-foil deck that commemorates the 2006 Legend of the Five Rings World Championship. Faber Van Kraanen won the day with the Ratlings, and was the first to enter the Tomb of Shinsei that held the gifts of the Seven Thunders. The Tomb was an actual place, set up in the cellars below the World Championship, where the top of Clan players were allowed to enter and choose one item for their Clan. These items will help to shape their Clan in the years to come. Not only are the items chosen in the Tomb represented in this set, but their effects are also.

The end of an old tale and the beginning of a new one. This base set marks a unique moment in Legend of the Five Rings history, for the very nature of this new iteration depended entirely on the actions of the players.

Decided by the results of Gen Con Indy 2005, this set might have told the beginning of a hopeful new tale, Lotus Edition, as the Great Clans begin to explore new paths of enlightenment or a bleak and shadowed tale of a land where, for a time, there is no hope, no enlightenment at all the tale of the Dark Lotus Edition.

The Spider

About the set:

With the knowledge that the Emperor has left the capitol on a quest for Enlightenment, the Empire is in turmoil. The Shogun moves to seize power, though he claims it is merely to hold the throne for his brother.

Many are doubtful, and see this as the resurgence of Kaneka’s long dormant ambition. The Empress stands against the Shogun, but his actions have seriously weakened her influence in court.
