Travelling by Underground

Getting to Leisure Games by underground couldn't be easier.

The shop is situated very close to 'Finchley Central' station, on the Northern Line.

Once at Finchley Central, walk up the stairs from the platform and turn left at the top (you should see a sign at the top of the stairs pointing towards Ballards Lane). Leave the station and walk up the ramp to the traffic lights, and turn right into Ballards Lane. Carry on walking for about 3 or 4 minutes. We are on the right hand side of the road, nearly opposite the KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)..

Travelling by Bus

There are a number of buses that you can use to reach Leisure Games.

If you are travelling Northbound (from London) by bus you will want to get off at either the bus stop outside Tesco, Ballards Lane, Finchley Central or the bus stop directly after it (we are situated part way between the two on the opposite side of the road). If you are travelling Southbound then there is a bus shop directly in front of Leisure Games, but don't worry if you miss your stop because the next one is only a couple of minutes walk away :)

The bus routes that pass directly past Leisure Games are the following:

82 Tally Ho Corner (North Finchley) to Victoria Station, London

125 Winchmore Hill to Finchley Central Underground Station

143 Archway Station to Brent Cross Shopping Centre

382 Southgate to Mill Hill East Underground Station

460 Tally Ho Corner (North Finchley) to Willesden Green

There are a number of other bus routes that stop at Tally Ho, North Finchley. These are ideal for getting a connection, or you could walk from Tally Ho Corner (normal time about 15 minutes). These routes are 263 (Barnet to Archway), 221 (Edgware to Turnpike Lane), 134 (Tottenham Court Road to Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley).

In addition to the above the 326 (Barnet to Brent Cross) goes past Finchley Central Station (5 minutes walk from us).

If in any doubt of directions please consult a bus map (on show at most major bus stops), or phone us.

We look forward to seeing you :)

Travelling by Car

The shop is situated in Ballards Lane, which runs from the North Circular Road (A406) at 'Henley's Corner' (*at this point the road is called Regent's Park Road, but this changes into Ballards Lane), up through Finchley Central (also known as Church End) to North Finchley (Tally Ho Corner).

We are also just a mile or two from junction 2 of the M1, and a couple of minutes from the A1. If you are travelling along the M25 we recommend that you turn off at the A1 or M1 - whichever you reach first - and folow our directions from there.

See below for instructions depending on which direction you are coming from, and for parking information.

Directions from M1

Leave the M1 at junction 2, onto the Great North Road, heading South. At the first traffic lights turn left. This should be Holder's Hill Road road. Drive along this road until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit (Dollis Road), and continue all the way up to the traffic lights at the end, and turn left into Ballards Lane. Keep an eye out for the Kentucky Fried Chicken on the left - The shop is almost opposite the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Directions from A1

From the North, turn off the A1 at Hendon Lane. This road takes you to a junction with Ballards Lane. Turn left at this junction. You will pass Tescos on your left, and then keep an eye out for the Kentucky Fried Chicken (also on the left) - we are almost opposite it.

From the South, immediately after the A1 joins up with the A406 (North Circular Road) turn right into Regent's Park Road. This road changes name to Ballards Lane shortly. Drive past Tescos on the left, then keep an eye out for the Kentucky Fried Chicken (also on the left) - we are almost opposite it.

Directions from North Circular A406 Eastbound

Past Brent Cross the A1 joins the A406 for a short distance. Just before the two seperate again turn left into Regent's Park Road (this junction is also known as Henley's Corner and The Naked Lady). Regent's Park Road changes name to Ballards Lane shortly. Drive past Tescos on the left, then keep an eye out for the Kentucky Fried Chicken (also on the left) - The shop is situated on the right hand side of the road, almost opposite the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Directions from North Circular A406 Westbound

Soon after the exit signposted Muswell Hill take the slip road signposted 'North & East Finchley A1000'. At the traffic lights turn left, back across the A406, and turn left again at the traffic lights towards Church End (into Squires Lane). After about half a mile there is another set of traffic lights. Turn right here into Long Lane, and follow the road up to the 'T' junction, where you turn left into Ballards Lane. The shop is situated about 50 yards down the road on the left hand side, almost opposite the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Parking

The shop is in a Controlled Parking Zone, so some of the parking is 'Pay by Phone' ( *see below). However, most of the side roads have resident and/or permit bays which are only restricted to residents between the hours of 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm from Monday to Friday. Outside these hours you may park in these bays. On Saturdays these bays may be used at any time by anybody.

* Pay by Phone: The local council have abandoned 'Pay & Display' and you can currently only pay by mobile phone. We are currently arranging a supply of 'scratch card' parking vouchers which you will be able to purchase in the shop and will permit you to park in the 'Pay by Phone' bays. Please ask in store for details.

NOTE: The above was correct at the time this page was written, but please check the signs where you park as Leisure Games cannot be held responsible for any parking fines!
