Battlefield Evolution is a fast-paced and easy to learn miniatures game, with enough tactical depth to keep you hooked for years. You will command small forces based on real world armies of the near future, and attempt to overwhelm your opponents with tactical skill and a healthy dose of luck!
Based on supposition and projection of real world armies in the near future, this game features new technologies that are just around the corner – you will be among the first to experience how such weapons and equipment can affect the modern battlefield from the point of view of a soldier. There are several different armies to collect, each with a wide range of units and tactical abilities
This rulebook provides many advanced rules such as battles involving emplacements, air units, artillery, minefields, lots of new scenarios to test your tactical capabilities, army lists, and a complete campaign system.
Both versatile and numerous, the soldiers of the PLA appear as an irresistible wave of humanity, sweeping across the battlefield. With a large squad, splittable into three separate fire teams, the PLA infantry are extremely versatile.
Two fire teams are armed with the advanced PF-89 anti-tank weapon, while the third features the QBB95 machine gun, allowing this squad to engage virtually any target with ease.
Though short-ranged, the PF-89 is a solid tank-killer, able to seriously damage or destroy the most modern armoured vehicles. The QBB95, a development of the QBZ95 assault rifle carried by the rest of the squad, can be set up to create lethal fire lanes, effectively denying whole areas of the battlefield to the enemy.
For ultimate flexibility, you have the option of dropping one or two teams, allowing you to tweak your force to the desired level of lethality.
Never giving an inch to an invader, the men and women of the MEA have vowed to defeat their oppressors. Armed with AK-103 assault rifles and RPG-29's, they are staunch defenders of their ideals, capable of giving any attacker a bloody nose.
This unit can be upgraded to include more squad members, two of which may carry RPG-29's, a powerful weapon capable of winkling enemy infantry out of hard cover. It is the foundation of Middle Eastern Alliance forces and extremely versatile on the battlefield.
Renowned for their ingenuity, the MEA have taken civilian pick up trucks and turned them into weapons of war. With a mounted PKM machine gun and the ability to take a small squad into battle, the Technicals are fast and agile. This box set contains three Technicals.
A cut above the average infantry of the MEA, the Fedayeen have been well trained and equipped with the finest weaponry their supporters can acquire. The AT-14 is an advanced anti-tank weapon, capable of destroying even the heavily armoured American Abrams, while the SVU sniper rifle will ensure enemy infantry are forced to keep their heads down. Each member of the Fedayeen also carries an IED, ready to detonate upon arrival at an important objective or enemy armoured vehicle. This box set contains a full Fedayeen squad.
Replacing the Hum-Vee, the Shadow is a hybrid transport capable of mounting many weapon systems. This version features the roof-mounted CKEM anti-tank missile, giving USMC forces a powerful anti-armour capability. Able to transport a full fire team and Sergeant into the battlefield, the Shadow is a fast-moving vehicle whatever the terrain, able to cover a large amount of ground in the rush for objectives. The CKEM system grants it a punch far above its size, allowing it to deal with enemy tanks that might otherwise annihilate the fire team. The Shadow is also capable of absorbing a surprising degree of punishment with little loss of function. This box set contains three Shadow RST-V vehicles.
The Command Squad is a strong component for any PLA force, with its officer keeping a careful eye on the battlefield, formulating tactics on the fly. His presence can mean the defeat for an enemy with a more ragged command structure, and a Command Squad as a whole acts as a useful force multiplier.
The NORINCO FAV grants the PLA a fast-moving strike capability, for it can cover rough ground quickly and yet packs enough firepower to deal with both light vehicles and aircraft. The combination of both MG and 23mm cannon gives this light vehicle a strong punch that can defeat other light vehicles or root infantry out of cover as desired.
